10 things we expect from today's game

The year was 2009, the minute was 59th the place was Old Trafford, the rivals were Tottenham and the score was 0-2. Fast forward to the second half and between the 55th and 78th minute, Manchester United scored 5 goals with two from Ronaldo, 2 from Rooney and one from Berbatov to kill off any hopes of challenge from the Londoners. This is the kind of spirit we want to see in today's game as we battle for the second position. Specifically:

See highlights of the game:

1. 3 points and nothing less.

2. Mourinho to come out to win at OT and with a. team chaffing to win; I want to see that desired in their eyes especially after nearly 3 weeks of slow, sluggishness.

3. Lukaku to score - the lad needs it because he must score against a big team; otherwise, the rivals don't fear him.

4. Ander Herrrera's stability is needed in centra midfield - something has been missing as he's not connected so well; something he'd done previously. I think Mourinho has addressed this, we need to see it in action.

5. Confidence is key to winning; and nobody gives us more than David De Gea. DDG's performance can save the team; as we saw last weekend. Therefore, we need him to return to his saving ways so that the front can perfectly turn out.

6. Being present: The biggest mistake Mourinho made last week was to take the game as a 'routine' win; without considering the perils of Premier League competition. Lesson learned was to give each team the respect they deserve for being in the league and go there to win and to defend. There did not seem to be a plan B. This should not happen today.

7. Speed: Our biggest asset, this season, has been the speed from our players from the wing backs to the forwards, we have used it to our advantage. And except for Martial who tried to make some moves; it has been lacking in devising doses. Rashford, in particular, when being accurate and in the zone provides all kinds of trouble but the speed we need most is from Mikhi and Lukaku. These two have featured in EPL's top 5 in August and September; they need to return to that pace and we can outpace and outscore Tottenham.

8. Luke Shaw: Luke Shaw returned to full-time feature and I want to state that he needs to play because we may need Blind to go to central defense! Shaw and Young can effectively manage that position.

9. Tactics: With Harry Kane out, Mourinho should not be complacent (although nobody ever accused him of this) with his team. Tottenham are 3rd for a reason and this might just be the impetus they need to go to second. Let there be no complacency even if it's obvious.

10. A thriller. It's been a while since we got entertained; plus it's the rest of EPL vs Man United. So, let's do something bold and great. We are Manchester United.
