The Belgian hit man started his career with local side Rupel Boom before moving to Anderlecht where he became top scorer at the age of 16 winning the Championship too. 

In the summer of 2011, he was snapped up by Chelsea but failed to feature regularly, being sent on loan to West Brom and Everton respectively.

He signed permanently for Everton for around £28 million in 2014 but three years later moved to United.

His transfer to United in July 2017 came a day after Wayne Rooney moved the other way to rejoin his boyhood club.

He signed for 5 years with an option of a sixth in a deal worth an initial £75 million, plus £15 million in add-ons. 

After scoring 4 times in pre-season, Lukaku made his competitive debut in the UEFA Super Cup defeat by Real Madrid where he scored. 

His league debut a week later was one to remember as he scored twice against West Ham at Old Trafford, becoming the 4th United player to score a double in his debut.

Lukaku is one of only five players to score 50 Premier League goals before his 23rd birthday and 80 before his 24th.

The Belgian made his international debut in 2010 where he has managed over 50 caps, having represented his nation in the 2014 World Cup and also the 2016 Euros.
