Born in Etterbeek to Moroccan parents, Fellaini played youth football for Anderlecht before joining Standard Liege in the Belgium top flight.

He later moved to Everton, and after five years transferred to Manchester United in a deal worth £27.5 million in September 2013.

It was his former Everton manager David Moyes who sanctioned the move although they both ended up having a disastrous campaign with United finishing 7th.

Fellaini now in his 4th year at United has already won the FA Cup, Community Shield, League Cup and the Europa League.

On the international stage, Fellaini has been a full international for Belgium since 2007, earning over 70 caps. He represented the team at the 2008 Olympics, the 2014 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2016.
