The former Wigan Athletic man joined United in June 2009 for 16 million pound and he has since won the premier league (2), league cup, community shield (3) and the FA Cup in 2015/16.

He was voted into the PFA Team of the Year in his debut season with the club.

He has come to own that right flank after being transformed into a defender where he has continued to impress time and again to a point where Jose Mourinho activated his 1-yr contract extension clause keeping him at Old Trafford to at least June 2018.

Now in his 8th season with the Reds, he has amassed over 300 appearances for United.
