Manchester United's 3-0 win of FC Basel left Jose Mourinho furious with the team's complacency and even if I had first reported this as a smooth game, my opinion was changed and here are 10 things we learned from that game.

1. My eyes filled with tears when that Champions League came on. O man, I'd really missed it. Great to back.

2. We still have a left wing problem and even with Blind, who produced a very suave assist for Lukaku...

3. Lindelof had a solid performance after such. long break, expecting him to improve.

4. The right side was superb with Ashley Young, who smoothly took over from Valencia and continued to do Valencia things. He could have gotten one assist in - unlucky for him.

5. Speaking of unlucky - Get well soon Paul Pogba. But you gotta love Mourinho's response to the issue: we have a squad for these occasions.

6. Fellaini's game seems to have improved; he was making short passes, finding space and basically, compensating for his football weaknesses. Give the man a drink!

7. Okay, so we are just supposed to accept that Rashford (or Martial) are supersubs now. I can see those guys competing but..

8. My heart broke for Anthony Martial - not because of Rashford but because he left and Lingered was on the pitch. I have nothing against Lingard, but part of the reason it seemed like we'd lost the plot in the final 20 minutes is because nobody was tracking back to defend. Martial does it and is able to bear men one-on-one... Anyway, I am sure Mourinho is watching and I hope this creates a competitive feel to it rather than complex rivalries.

9. That is a nice squad we have - looking at the like for like substitutes and the alternatives on the bench... Amazing.

10. Speaking of amazing, we could have scored more goals. That was a lot of wasted chances and for sure, we could have been badly punished... But it was great to beat Basel all the same.

--- Did you watch last night's game? Who impressed you? What can be improved for the second leg?
