Incase You Missed It: We suffered our first defeat of the Pre-season tour as we went down 1-0 to Barcelona courtesy of Neymar's 31st minute strike in Washington.

That was the last game and only defeat in 5 matches of our USA Tour 2017 presented by AON.

It was all about David de Gea in the opening exchanges as he made impressive saves to keep off the MSN. The Spaniard was unable to keep of Neymar's goal after 30 minutes and although United grew in confidence as the game wore on, there was no beating Jasper Cillessen in the Barca goal.

Antonio Valencia's mistake gifted Neymar the goal

The impressive stopper had to be alert to deny Pogba, Lingard and Mkhitaryan's effort as United tried to make up for Antonio Valencia's error that gifted Neymar the goal.

Jose Mourinho has always insisted results in pre-season don't really matter to him but he'll have observed something to work on ahead of the new season in two weeks time.

This might be United's last tour match in the States, but it's not the final one of Tour 2017, presented by Aon. Next up for the Reds is a trip to Oslo on Sunday to face Norwegian side Valerenga, before a final friendly in Dublin against Italian outfit Sampdoria.

Jose Mourinho's men can claim a first trophy of the season on 8 August when the Reds face Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup final, then the campaign begins for real.
