We might have won the worst penalty shoot-out in recent times when we beat Real Madrid last night but who cares? A win is a win especially against the European and Spanish champions.

It was an even affair although United were always on the front-foot displaying their superior match fitness levels as compared to Madrid who were playing their first match in pre-season.
United started dominantly with Man of the Match Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford threatening early on but it's that man Lingard who opened the scoring late in the first half from a moment of brilliance by Anthony Martial on the left.

Jesse Lingard opened the scoring and was Man of the Match
The Frenchman collected a lose pass and ghosted past 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Real Madrid players, dancing his way through the defense to lay the simplest of finishes to Lingard.
It's the kind of impressive footwork we all know too well the man has in his locker. He only needs to produce that more often and the boss we'll be happy not to sign Ivan Perisic or any other winger.

Lindelof conceded a penalty to let Real back in to the game
We can for a moment forget he blasted his penalty high in the skies, but he'll have De Gea to thank for sparing his blushes by saving two penalties in the shoot-out.
Watch again the moment we beat the European Champions in-front of 70,000 fans with the highlight being the woeful penalty shoot-out and of course Anthony Martial's moment of magic.
United now face Barcelona on Wednesday as the International Champions Cup continues.
