Jose Mourinho is hopeful that Ander Herrera won't be out of the team for long as the Spaniard suffered a hip injury just 11 minutes after he came on after half-time against Real Madrid yesterday.

The boss claimed although the collision looked painful, the midfielder could be out for just a couple of days. Speaking at his post-match conference, he was asked about Herrera's state and offered a rather positive update.
“It must at least be very painful because for Ander to come off, it has to be very painful,” the manager told reporters. “I want to wait and see what it is.
“I always say to the players that you don't risk anything in friendly matches. If you feel something is coming, even if it is a little injury, get off because the result is not important. It was very painful, it was in front of the bench, it was a bad contact. Maybe it is his ribs but I don't know.”

20 yr old Scot McTominay came on for Herrera and gave an assured display.
Herrera now joins Juan Mata in the treatment room after his compatriot suffered a heavy knock to his ankle in Utah.
Fellow team-mates Ashley Young, Marcos Rojo and Luke Shaw are still long-term absentees.
Here's a video of Herrera walking rather uncomfortably after the Real game.
