Manchester United continue to flex their financial muscles in the transfer marketing and this time Swedish center-back Victor Lindelof is certain to become the first major signing this summer.

With Mourinho having handed CEO Ed Woodward a 5 man short-list of potential targets, one of them has already been captured with United now set to part with £31m to sign the Benfica superstar.
With one Swedish (Zlatan) departing the club, one arrives. And Zlatan himself knows his former international team-mate all too well as he described him back in November.
"I think Victor is doing great things, he is playing good for Benfica, he gets a lot of responsibility for the national team now, he is growing.
"Is he good enough for United? I think he's good enough for the big clubs out there. It's up to him what he wants. Whatever he chooses will be good for him. I know he is hot on the market so let him make the right choice, what fits him good."
So, who is Victor Lindelof and what's his style of play? Here are 5 things that properly describe him.
1. He is a 22-yr old Swedish central defender who started his career in the lower tiers of Swedish football, Lindelof signed for Benfica as a 17-year-old in December 2011 but made his first team debut in the 2015/2016 season when he won the league title.
2. Due to his club form, he broke into the Sweden national team for Euro 16 and played in the 3 games crushing out at the group stage level. He has since gone on to win 12 caps, and scored his first goal against Bulgaria last October.
3. He's a traditionally built center-back in the mould of Rio Ferdinand, and his ball-playing qualities are believed to be second to only Juventus Bonucci. Jose is believed to have been impressed with his mobility and composure on the ball topping that with his blistering speed.
4. He has been nicknamed "The Iceman" at Benfica because of his composure and confidence with the ball in different situations. Simply put, he's as cool as ice on the ball.
5. He can hit them free-kicks. Yes, the defender has a decent curve on dead-ball situations. Imagine the many times we get free-kicks and there's no Rooney, Pogba or Mata on the pitch. His impressive form last season, saw Benfica storm once again to the Portuguese title.
We can't wait to see him form the core in defence alongside Eric Bailly for many many years to come...but first enjoy his stunning free-kick below against rivals Sporting Lisbon last season!
