With the club’s top goal scorer for last season, Zlatan Ibrahimovic side-lined due to injury, and the future of record goal scorer Wayne Rooney uncertain, United are reported to be most interested in signing strikers to reinforce their front line before the beginning of the 2017/18 season.
According to Sky Sports Jose Mourinho has reportedly made bids in the region of £60m for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
The 24 year old striker has just had the most prolific season of his career so far, scoring 20 goals in 43 appearances as Real Madrid won the La Liga, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and Champions League titles.
It is felt that he could be a valuable addition to United’s front line, which apart from Ibrahimovic, struggled to make an impact last season.
United fans will be buoyed by the fact the Real striker went on an Instagram following mission, where he followed most of the United players including David de Gea, Juan Mata and Paul Pogba.
It is not uncommon nowadays for players to announce their intentions through their social media activity.
United are also rumoured to be interested in the goal scoring talents of £57m rated Torino forward Andrea Belotti according to the Daily Mail.

The 23 year old has had an incredible season, scoring 26 goals in the Serie A this season, and 35 goals in all competitions.
However, he is also rumoured to be a target of other top clubs, including Serie A side AC Milan, who are alleged to have lodged a £39m bid for the young forward.
According to Sky Sports, prolific Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is also on Mourinho’s shopping list of strikers.
It is thought a bid of around £60m would be needed to prise him away from the Bundesliga side.
Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette is also a potential target, and it is rumoured he wants a move away from Lyon after scoring an impressive 37 goals in all competitions for Lyon during the 2016/17 season.
The club’s search for greater attacking talents in midfield is also taking shape.
United are reportedly looking for an effective winger to address the lack of goals from midfield. Football Italia are reporting that Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic is attracting the interest of Mourinho.

Algerian international winger Yacine Brahimi, who currently plays for Portuguese Primeira Liga side Porto, is also a rumoured target of both Manchester United and West Ham.
Both Douglas Costa and James Rodriguez are reportedly being considered by Mourinho, after less than impressive seasons at Bayern Munich and Real Madrid respectively according to the Daily Star.
Monaco midfielder Fabinho is also rumoured to be in the sights of United, as a long term replacement for Michael Carrick. The Monaco midfielder proved to be an emerging talent in Monaco’s midfield as the club won their first Ligue 1 title since 2000.
The Metro are claiming that United are reportedly making plans for David de Gea’s possible departure this summer United have reportedly expressed interest in Atletico Madrid’s first choice keeper, Jan Oblak, if de Gea does leave, with Real Madrid being a likely destination.
Oblak’s impressive performances for Atletico has netted the 24 year old two successive Ricardo Zamora trophies for best goalkeeper in La Liga and because of his impressive performances, he is considered as an effective replacement if de Gea leaves.

Transfers Out
The Daily Star are reporting that United are willing to listen to offers for Belgian midfielder Adnan Januzaj, after the young midfielder appeared to have lost his way somewhat during his time on loan at recently relegated side Sunderland.
French Ligue 1 side Marseille are reported to be interested, hoping that he will be able to revive his once promising career at the club.
Januzaj is valued at £8m by the United hierarchy.
