United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been nominated for the PFA Players Player of the year after he's sensational form since he's joined United.

The Swedish striker is joined in the shortlist by fellow Premier League stars: Spurs striker Harry Kane, Everton's Romelo Lukaku, Chelsea duo Eden Hazard and Ng'olo Kante as well as Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez.

The PFA award is given to the most impressive footballers in the English division voted by professional footballers so that's makes it a bit more captivating.

Zlatan was in top form again against Sunderland striking his 28th goal of the season and also providing an assist in a Man of the Match performance.

It's hard to believe he came as free agent despite critics stressing the 35-year old would struggle in England. That led to the man himself declaring that he ages backwards like the popular fictional character Benjamin Button who ages backwards. ‘My game is improving, I’m getting better and better,’ the Manchester United forward said after scoring his side’s opener against Sunderland on Sunday.‘I feel like Benjamin Button, I was born old and I will die young.’

And the numbers seem to back him up.

Another United Academy graduate Michael Keane the now Burnley defender was also nominated for the PFA Young Players Player where he'll face competition from fellow agemates Harry Kane, Leroy Sane, Romelo Lukaku, Jordan Pickford and Dele Alli.
