When it was announced that Zlatan Ibrahimovic was quitting the night life of Paris to join the unpredictable weather in England, acres of space were dedicated to Ibrahimovic’s “loss of form” by a section of the media and the opposing fans.

Some even had the audacity to write an epitaph on the Big Swede’s career – they mocked him saying that he had joined a retirement club.

In reality, while these fans knew that Manchester United had acquired the services of a lethal forward for free (Bosman transfer), they couldn’t live with it and so they decided to castigate the move.

How is that possible? Well, if really Manchester United acquired the services of a lame striker, then the opposition should be happy in that we will be ineffective.

The moment you witness signs of bitterness and anger in some opposing fans signifies that they just hate that which they can’t have or afford.

Truth be told, at one time, Ibrahimovic was struggling to score goals for Manchester United. Every great footballer undergoes such a period.

It was hard for the team, the manager and the fans in that while we urged Mourinho to drop the Big Swede; the manager continued playing him upfront.

You can be sure that Mourinho must have argued that you don’t drop one of your star players because he won’t be able to get his form back while on the bench!

Having trained with the other players for some few weeks meant that Ibrahimovic had a lesser understanding between him and the others.

However, as the games progressed, we have seen the real Ibrahimovic; give him a chance at the opponent’s goal and he will go a mile - a side that we are all familiar with.

Ibrahimovic once hit a rich vein of form while at PSG and all indications were that his stature was to replace the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Not only was Ibrahimovic scoring for fun, he was doing so with a kind of arrogance that could earn you years in jail. After his arrival at Old Trafford, we all knew that anarchy was looming and the only thing we didn’t know is the actual timing.

The Big Swede is not only making romance to football by scoring for Manchester United, he is also doing that with some kind of magic looped with spectacular brilliance that conjures awe-inspiring moments.

Scenes at the opponent’s goal when Ibrahimovic is moving towards the goal mirror the happenings during the Biafra War and the Vietnam War - defenders self-destructing on seeing Ibra advancing with the ball.

I am yet to understand why EPL defenders haven’t exiled him – that is until I remember that we are talking about Zlatan and not the likes of Giroud.

With a frightening knack for martial arts tactics on the field, Ibrahimovic could very well make the EPL offer him the inaugural “Timeless Goal” award.

You have to pity the ball when Ibrahimovic rises to nod a cross towards goal or when he pounces on some passes around the penalty area – if balls could talk they’d file for “child labour” due to Ibra’s thunder-striking force on them.

Picture Ibrahimovic kicking anything kickable at Old Trafford and you have this thought that the North West should sanction Buckingham Palace to knight the Big Swede!

Rumour has it that the 2016/17 UEFA Europa League final will be played in Sweden for the reason that Nyon will be honouring Ibrahimovic – in short, Manchester United will reach the final and it would only be fitting for “the powers” to have the match in Sweden to pay tribute to Ibrahimovic.

By now, they should have told you that Zlatan decides – that can be attested by the hilarious Zlatan quotes that make one laugh like a possessed individual.

Not known for lack of stunning goals, Ibrahimovic can invoke magic that accompanies his packed shots to let one fly towards the opposing keeper with an effort straight from Puskas’ videos – Zlatan quotes would say something like Ferenc Puskas actually copying Ibrahimovic! Crowded penalties areas and thuggish style of play from the opponents is no obstacle to Ibrahimovic’s rare talents.

Crafted goals are what define Ibrahimovic’s play; you can expect a delicate lob from Ibra – case in point being the game against Everton, or a thundering pile-driver – as during the game against Manchester City.

It’s even illegal to mention Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the same paragraph as Giroud; just because a cat and a leopard belong to the same family species doesn’t mean that they have the same level of vicious power – likewise, Giroud playing football like Ibrahimovic doesn’t signify that he has the same capabilities as the Swede.

Whoever thought that Ibrahimovic’s talent would cascade after joining Manchester United could very well be an ideal candidate for the local mental hospital – if you have any of such characters as your friend(s), you are also not spared, and actually you should come for your fare to the mental hospital.

It would also be ideal to organize a public lynching for whoever sunk such a deadly mentality on some Ibra haters.

Ibrahimovic’s goals produce some kind of iconic images as teammates run towards him to celebrate along – that doesn’t happen in some football arenas (names withheld).

As opposed to going traditional and conservative with some boring approach, the Swede cultivates a more-cultured technique that ends up with the commentators yelling at the sight of a majestic goal.

Blessed with a rare gift of humiliating opposing defenders and goalkeepers alike, Ibrahimovic shows an unequalled vision to give the fans the pleasure they need at the right moments.

To be sincere, anyone aspiring to run for a political office would swap his/her face with Ibrahimovic’s and win with margins never seen before – you’d be extremely lucky not to be accused of mass rigging in an election you won fairly!

In the event that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has not scored against your team, be very worried for he will most likely compensate that with a picturesque hat-trick that will most likely make your manager get the sack.
