Leadership role is reserved for country's policy makers - from government, counties, departments, development partners, agriculture research and marketing agencies and academia.

FF2018 has created rules and points based on nine policy issues. These are: agriculture & development, food and nutrition, resilience, value addition, advocacy, food security, business and youth development and employment, into the game.

TECHNICAL BENCH

Sell goods & services.

There are many types of service providers in agriculture and we have made it easy for one to know if they should farm or help with farming.

 

When one applies to be a farmer but fails to meet any points, they are automatically refereed to the technical bench. Join the the technical bench if you provide farm inputs, finance, insurance, training, business management, research & development, marketing and aggregation.

REFEREE

Deal directly with farmers 

Extension services are part of farming.Referees perform demonstrations  and provide technical services that the for the farmer.

Referees include extension officers, agrovets and agronomists, trainer and technical support personnel for some technical bench products, e.t.c.

​

They will have the added job of helping farmers adjust from digital to real-life issues well.

Fantasy Foodbowl helps you to scout, field, play and win in agribusiness. Just like in football, your success depends on how you play, how your produce performs and how other produce performs during the season... and some luck.  You must do well for your produce, do well together but also outdo each other.

How Fantasy Foodbowl Works

Fantasy Foodbowl is a simulation that helps you to scout, field, play and win in agribusiness. It contains set roles, rules, starting and ending points for each produce to keep score from scout to end. These points are redeemable and linked to financial, insurance, marketing and other support service providers to better serve you.

As a football club, the game has roles for anyone in the sector, connecting farmers, service providers, experts to do business together while also listing jobs and opportunities in the sector on a country basis.

Rules, Points & Scores

  • The rules of the game are based on technical farming and business guidelines.

  • The points are assigned per activity based on both the rules (to do things right) and real-time issues such as policy, market and finance, trade trends (to do the right thing).

  • The scores are given per player per produce with minimum starting and maximum ending points.

  • No cheating or shortcuts in Fantasy Foodbowl.

  • One can use their Fantasy Foodbowl points and performance charts to seek financing, better markets or partners.

Players, Squad & League

  • Using football verse, here are the agri-roles.

  • Player = Produce.

  • The Produce has a role from Goalkeeper to Striker.

  • A produce can be in the Squad or part of the academy.

  • The squad consists of the country's main foods; with the Starting XI and like-for-like substitutes.

  • The Academy Produce is listed for one season before being featured the following season.

  • A produce can be promoted into starting XI, demoted or even removed from squad.
